Alpha Epsilon Delta is the National Health Pre-Professional Honor Society dedicated to the encouragement and recognition of excellence in the pre-health world. Fields of recognition include medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, veterinary, optometry, and others. The Society welcomes all students engaged in the pursuit of a professional healthcare career displaying academic excellence and achievement. AED offers opportunities for intellectual and professional development, provides a forum for students with common interests, promotes communication and insight between health professionals and students, and extends a program of service to benefit the campus and local community.

Upcoming events:

We are having a food drive for “Mama’s Kitchen” a nonprofit organization that delivers food for Aids and Cancer Patients. In order to receive credit you need to drop off at least 2 canned foods in the bin in the PPHA office and sign your name in the sign in sheet. This counts as a community service event. Please make sure you check the expiration date as these patients have immune suppressed conditions. This drive will take place 3/15 – 3/26.

Bio tutoring: exam 3 on April 4th and exam 4 on May 2nd. Location: TBD

Chem tutoring: April 15. Location: TBD

Active membership requirements:

You will need to participate in 3 events and attend 1 meeting, or 5 events if you cannot make the meetings, to be an active member this semester. One must be a community service event.

Applications:

Our deadline for applications this semester will be March 1st. Members who applied last semester do not need to renew their membership.
